Chay Phillp, Credit Adviser
Chay has been operating in the finance industry for the past 5 years. Before specialising as a mortgage broker with Altitude Capital, Chay was a financial planner within an independent financial planning practice. He thus has the knowledge and insight to help structure an appropriate home loan which caters to the individual whilst being mindful of the client’s other financial circumstances and needs, allowing for a more cohesive mortgage strategy.
Chay’s background was in teaching in the secondary school setting in the H.S.I.E. learning area, specialising in History. He therefore has highly developed communication skills, high literacy and importantly is a very good listener. Coupled to this, Chay has lived and worked in a number of cultures around the world, making him sensitive to peoples and customs. These basic human skills and qualities are what allow Chay to engage on a very personal level to determine the best interest of each and every client and the appropriate outcomes.
Chay is a member of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) as well as a member of the Credit & investment Ombudsman Ltd (CIO); he holds a Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking, a Diploma in Financial Planning, with subset qualifications in Principles of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds and Margin Lending. As alluded to above, he has a Bachelor of Teaching and accordingly, is a learner for life wishing to grow and improve every day, edifying the role of Mortgage adviser.
